FROM THE DIRECTOR
Ever since I can remember, I’ve been obsessed with numbers, organization, planning, and plotting financial goals, as well as an insatiable need to help others. I’ve lived in four countries (England, Canada, USA, and Australia), permanently in Australia now, here since 2009. I have a Bachelors's Degree in Psychology (SFSU), am a Registered BAS Agent and Certified Bookkeeper. Over the years I've worked closely with a variety of industries, watching them transform from brand new to flourishing, as well as struggling to strong. Sometimes, it's just getting them over minor barriers that leads to growth, and sometimes it's mountainous issues. And we get to support them to success. That has to be the best part - seeing goals successfully come to fruition!
Throughout my career, I've come across my own battles and issues. From stereotyping (I have an accent and yet I do know a lot about Australian legislations, I promise!) to gender and age bias (I've been working for over 20 years in a variety of industries, I promise!), to difficult partnerships and clients. I think that helps me relate to business owners from all walks of life. When I say I understand what you are going through, I honestly do.
I find myself very lucky to have found a field that satisfies all that I find FUN - yes, I know that sounds strange because the work we do is that which most sane individuals avoid with a ten-foot pole! But - I really love assisting businesses, and I only employ those who match my enthusiasm. The feedback we get from businesses we have helped - like how we’ve reduced stress from their lives, got their business up and running out of a ditch, helped pump enthusiasm and knowledge into their team, all and all made their business life easier - that's why we do what we do. I feel great when I know my clients have the time to get back to what they love!
